Our mission was originally launched in 2018 with the foundation of ‘College Shamma de Fond Parisien’ (COSHAF), a Primary and secondary school in Fond Parisien, having the aim to do more for 500 students with low-income parent in 10 years (2018-2028). COSHAF opened in July of 2018 with 20 students k-7 and K-8 grade. And new class has been added each subsequent year, now we currently serving over 200 children.
The relationship between COSHAF and PENN AYITI FOUNDATION INC.
COSHAF was founded and operated over a 5-year period. In January 2024, the Penn Ayiti Foundation was established in PA to assume the operational responsibilities of the school and take to school 68 other children working miserable in the field, where most of them never attend school in the past.
Penn Ayiti Foundation Inc. was founded by Windy Gelin and Jean Yvens Gelin, a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian organization based in Pennsylvania and devoted to break the cycle of poverty and violence by serving the needs of children in Haiti with a holistic approach to do more for them, focusing on three areas:

Our flagship programs are assuming the operational responsibilities of COSHAF, scholarship for 68 children with support of CEFC Harrisburg, support financially the online library BAVTGV project. In addition to our educational efforts, we establish agricultural cooperatives to empower 5 local farming families. We provide training and supply seeds to support sustainable farming practices. This initiative helps improve food security and economic stability in our community.
We have successfully implemented programs related to the above-mentioned in Fonds Verettes and Fond Parisien, Haiti, both rural areas, impacting over 1 000 lives and have partnered with over 5 institutions and networks.
